What families have shared with us
Supawadee W.
Bangkok, Thailand
I came in not really knowing what to expect. The first session was calm and unhurried — they let me explain everything at my own pace before saying anything. The written summary they sent afterwards helped me talk things over with my family. I had not expected that kind of care from a law firm.

British national, Sukhumvit
As a foreign national dealing with a family situation in Thailand, I was concerned about language barriers and not understanding the legal process. Krung Counsel handled everything in both English and Thai, and explained each step clearly. The process took a little longer than I hoped, but the outcome was fair and the communication throughout was excellent.

Khun Araya handled our case with a quiet authority that made both sides feel heard. The mediation process was more structured than I expected — there were clear steps, a clear agenda, and she kept things on track without ever seeming forceful. We reached an agreement in six weeks that I think genuinely reflects what both of us needed.

I had spoken to another firm before Krung Counsel and felt rushed. Here, the first meeting was just listening. They explained my options with examples, not legal language. The closing report at the end was something I did not expect — a proper summary of what had been decided and why. I will recommend them to anyone dealing with a family difficulty.

French national, Ari district
The initial review was worth the fee just for the clarity it gave me. I came in thinking I understood the situation and left with a much more accurate picture of what the law actually says. Sunisa was kind and patient throughout. I later went on to use the mediation service and that was handled equally well.
March 2025 · Family Situation Review, then Mediation
Worapol P.
Phra Nakhon, Bangkok
Our matter involved our two children and I was very concerned about how the process would affect them. Krung Counsel took a noticeably careful approach to this — the advice at every stage kept asking how each option would affect the children over the long term, not just the immediate outcome. That made a real difference to how we eventually structured the arrangement.

Three situations, and how they moved forward

Case study · Mediation
The situation
A Thai-Australian couple in Bangkok with a two-year-old daughter needed to separate but were struggling to communicate about parenting arrangements without the conversations escalating. Neither wanted court involvement.
What we did
We held three structured mediation sessions over five weeks. Our mediator set clear ground rules and a focused agenda for each session, then drafted a parenting plan that reflected what was agreed. Both parties reviewed the document and signed.
The outcome
A workable parenting plan was agreed in six weeks without court proceedings. Eighteen months later, both parties reported the arrangement was holding. No further legal involvement was needed.
"The sessions felt fair. We both left each one having said what we needed to say, and eventually having agreed what needed to be agreed."
Case study · Situation Review
The situation
A Thai woman had heard conflicting things from friends and family about her rights in a separation situation. She was not yet sure she wanted to separate, but wanted to understand what the law actually said before making any decisions.
What we did
We held a single Family Situation Review session and listened carefully before explaining the relevant provisions of Thai family law as they applied to her specific circumstances. She received a written summary the following day.
The outcome
She left with a clear picture of her legal position, the available options, and the realistic timelines for each. Several months later she returned for mediation support — but on her own timeline and with full information behind her.
"I did not feel rushed or pushed towards any decision. I came for clarity and that is what I received."
Case study · Full Representation
The situation
A contested custody matter involving a Thai father and a German mother. Both parties were legally represented. The central issue was where the school-age children would primarily reside and what access arrangements would apply.
What we did
We managed the full file from instructions through to final order — all court correspondence, document preparation, attendance at hearings, and regular updates to our client in both German and English. We also liaised with the opposing legal team calmly and constructively throughout.
The outcome
A court order was obtained establishing clear primary residence and structured access arrangements. A closing report summarised the full file and any follow-up steps required. The process took four months from first instructions to final order.
"I always knew what was happening and why. That made the whole process far easier to manage."
